Fayemi hails mentee with 5.0 CGPA at Afe Babalola varsity

Former Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi, has congratulated his mentee, Asiwaju Oladimeji, for earning a Master of Science in Conflict, Peace, and Strategic Studies from Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti with a perfect 5.0 cumulative grade point average.
Oladimeji, a geospatial technology expert and sickle cell awareness advocate, achieved straight As in all 14 courses undertaken during his postgraduate studies.
News gathered that Oladimeji was also honoured with the Founder’s Award for Deserving Students at ABUAD’s convocation ceremony, where he confirmed plans to pursue his PhD studies.
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, he expressed gratitude for the accomplishment, writing.
“M.Sc Conflict, Peace and Strategic Studies. 14 Courses! 14 As! 5.0 Final CGPA! Founder’s Award for Deserving Students! PhD (in view)! All thanks be to God. #Convocation #ABUAD.”
Reacting to the feat, Fayemi in a post on his X handle commended Oladimeji for his dedication to learning and described his academic success as a reflection of Ekiti’s strong intellectual culture.
“Congratulations to my mentee, Asiwaju Oladimeji, on the outstanding feat of earning an MSc in Conflict, Peace and Strategic Studies from Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD) with a CGPA of 5.0.
Oladimeji’s academic excellence reflects his discipline, focus, and commitment to continuous learning. His success embodies the values of diligence and aspiration that define Ekiti’s finest minds.
“I have encouraged him to take the next step towards a doctorate, where his intellect and dedication will no doubt continue to shine,” Fayemi wrote.
