Easter celebration: Benue govt declares Thursday, Friday, Monday work-free days

Benue State Government has declared Thursday, Friday and Monday work free days for its civil servants in the state to celebrate Easter.
This is contained in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Secretary to the State Government, Serumun Aber.
The SSG said, “in recognition of the significance of the Easter Triduum to the Christian community in Benue State.
The Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia has declared Thursday, Friday, and Monday as work-free days for all civil servants.
The SSG said that the decision was to enable civil servants to participate fully in the sacred celebrations and observances of the Easter Triduum, which holds deep spiritual significance for Christians around the world.
According to the statement, “during these days, all government offices and ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs) will be closed. We encourage all citizens to use this opportunity to reflect, recharge, and spend quality time with their loved ones.
The Governor extends his warmest wishes to all Christians in Benue State and beyond, praying that the Easter celebrations bring joy, peace, and spiritual renewal to all.
“May we emerge from this period of reflection and celebration rejuvenated and strengthened in our faith and service to humanity and a determination for a greater Benue”.
