CDCFIB to complete Immigration, Civil Defence, others’ recruitment in four weeks

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board has said the ongoing recruitment exercise for Nigeria’s four paramilitary services will be completed within the next four weeks.

The board made this known in a statement signed by its Secretary, Maj Gen AM Jibril (retd.), on Friday, amid growing anticipation among applicants waiting for the conclusion of the recruitment process.

The CDCFIB said it was aware of the “tremendous amount of anticipation” surrounding the exercise, noting that the large number of applications received nationwide had placed a responsibility on the board to ensure a fair and transparent selection process.

It said the recruitment process had reached its final stages but would not be rushed at the expense of due process.

The statement read, “It is the intention of the CDCFIB not to rush the entire recruitment process, but to bring it to completion without any prejudice to the principles of justice, merit, federal character, due process, and the operational requirements of the four services.”

The board added that the final stages of the recruitment exercise “will be completed within four weeks.”

According to the board, successful candidates would be notified through the official recruitment platform once the process is concluded.

It said, “Once this process is completed, candidates will be informed via the recruitment platform at the following web address: https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng.”

The board thanked applicants for their patience and assured them that their patience would be rewarded.

The statement further read, “We sincerely thank all candidates for their patience and we assure the public that the candidates’ patience shall surely be rewarded.”

The ongoing exercise is the nationwide recruitment into the four paramilitary agencies supervised by the CDCFIB: the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigerian Correctional Service and Federal Fire Service.

The recruitment exercise began with online applications in July 2025 and attracted massive interest from Nigerians seeking employment opportunities in the paramilitary services.

The application period ran from July 14 to August 11, 2025, through the official CDCFIB recruitment portal.

Applicants subsequently went through shortlisting and document screening before the Computer-Based Test conducted between November 12 and 19, 2025.

Physical screening and document verification were later conducted in different waves in 2026.

The board’s latest statement indicates that the exercise has now entered its final stage.

Applicants waiting for the outcome of the recruitment exercise are expected to receive updates through the official CDCFIB recruitment portal.

The board specifically directed candidates to recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng for notification once the process is completed.

Candidates should therefore be wary of individuals or websites claiming to have access to the final recruitment list or demanding payment for recruitment slots.

The CDCFIB recruitment exercise is conducted through its official portal, and applicants are advised to rely on information released by the board.
