APGA launches nationwide e-registration of members
Awka — The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has commenced a Continuous Electronic Membership Registration Exercise to strengthen its membership base across Nigeria.
Speaking at a news briefing in Awka, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Mazi Ejimofor Opara, said the nationwide exercise will begin on March 1, 2026, and will take place simultaneously across all 8,809 electoral wards in the country.
Opara recalled that APGA became the first political party in Nigeria to automate its membership registration process in June 2024, describing the move as a reflection of the party’s commitment to transparency, efficiency, and inclusivity.
“All interested Nigerians are welcome to participate,” he said, adding that requirements include possession of a valid voter’s card and two passport photographs.
Registration can be completed online, via WhatsApp numbers provided by the party, or by visiting designated ward offices to collect registration forms. Members will receive a temporary membership slip upon registration, followed by a permanent membership card.
Registration is open to new members nationwide. Existing members who registered electronically do not need to re-register. Members who have not uploaded their passport photographs should visit the party’s website or the WhatsApp number to update their records,” Opara said.
He concluded by inviting all eligible Nigerians to join the APGA family: “We invite all eligible Nigerians to seize this opportunity to join APGA and contribute to shaping the future of our great nation. Together, we move forward.”
