Acting IGP Disu lauded as reform-minded leader by Nigerian community in Turkey

JALINGO — The President of the Nigerian Community in Turkey, Prince Magbo, has praised the newly appointed Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), Tunji Disu, describing him as a consummate professional capable of reforming the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) to meet global standards.

In a statement released Thursday by his media aide, Acho Righteous, Magbo hailed the Federal Government’s decision to elevate Disu as both bold and timely, commending President Bola Tinubu for the appointment. He noted that Disu’s reputation for integrity and professionalism positions him as the ideal candidate to lead the force.

Magbo expressed confidence that under Disu’s leadership, Nigeria’s internal security framework would be modernized and strengthened.

“With Acting IGP Tunji Disu at the helm, we are confident that Nigeria’s security architecture will be strengthened. Crime-fighting will become more strategic, and we expect to see a significant improvement in public trust toward the police force,” Magbo said.

He also urged the Acting IGP to prioritize discipline within the ranks, foster a culture of excellence, and promote stronger collaboration with other law enforcement agencies to tackle the country’s security challenges effectively.
