Access Bank launches ‘Detty Fusion’

Access Bank says it has unveiled Detty Fusion, a first-of-its-kind consumer engagement and social impact platform aimed at connecting Nigerians to safe, seamless, and unforgettable festive experiences this Yuletide season.

This was made known in a statement made available to Saturday PUNCH.

According to the statement, the initiative, anchored in the bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility agenda, seeks to spotlight SMEs, creative entrepreneurs, event organisers, and service providers across Lagos, providing them visibility while offering Lagosians and visitors a curated event calendar of lifestyle, entertainment, and cultural events throughout December.

The platform was launched in partnership with the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, reinforcing a shared goal of ensuring a safer, well-coordinated, and truly vibrant festive season.

The statement indicated that Access Bank Head of Mobility Business, Ishmael Nwokocha, at the unveiling, highlighted the bank’s commitment to strengthening communities and empowering the creative economy.

“With Detty Fusion, we are creating an entertainment aggregator that allows users to explore event calendars, purchase tickets, access discounts, and make safe and seamless payments during the festive season and beyond,” he said.

Nwokocha also emphasised the role of Lagos as Nigeria’s cultural and creative hub, noting that the platform would enhance the visibility of Lagos rich cultural heritage while contributing meaningfully to the creative economy.

It further stated that, the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mr Idris Aregbe, described the collaboration as a boost to the state’s THEMES agenda.

“Detty Fusion will streamline festive activities, attract more visitors, and ensure Lagos maintains its position as Africa’s entertainment capital,” he said.

Similarly, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs. Adebopo Oyekan-Ismaila, commended Access Bank for investing in initiatives supporting tourism development, noting that the platform would guarantee a safe and world-class festive season experience for both residents and visitors.

“Access Bank confirmed that Detty Fusion will co-brand major December cultural events including Lagos Cultural Week, Culturalti, fashion shows, and other celebrations, promising Lagosians a more vibrant, secure, and organized yuletide period.

“Users can join the waitlist to get all-access passes to parties, raves, soft-life getaways, and detty drops via the Detty Fusion platform.”
