2027 German Bundestag Scholarship Scholarship Details:

The German Bundestag Scholarship is aimed at training African students who want to take an active and responsible role in shaping the democratic future of their countries.

Since 2020, the German Bundestag has been offering a scholarship program for talented and politically interested young university graduates from sub-Saharan Africa.

The scholarship considers candidates who are interested in the German parliamentary system and are actively committed to basic democratic values in their home countries.

Eligibility Requirements for 2027 German Bundestag Scholarship

To be considered for the German Bundestag Scholarship, you must meet the requirements below:

  • Citizenship of a participating country (Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Namibia, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania and Uganda)
  • Under the age of 30 at the start of the scholarship/January 1st
  • University degree
  • Good knowledge of German (at least level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)
  • Interest in politics, social/political engagement
