2027: Akinlawon Urges Yewa-North Electorates To Register For PVCs

As the 2027 general elections approach, House of Assembly hopeful Prince Oluwafemi Akinlawon has called on residents of Yewa-North Local Government Area, particularly eligible voters, to register for their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
Akinlawon, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Imasayi Ward, made the appeal in a statement to newsmen on Thursday. He emphasized that electoral victory requires effort and that the most critical tool in achieving success at the polls is the PVC.
"There is no victory without effort, and the reward of that effort is when the electorate turns out with their PVCs to perform their civic responsibility," he stated.
The aspirant noted that the 2027 elections would serve as a testament to his commitment to the people of Yewa-North, declaring that "it's youth-o-clock"; a nod to the increasing role of young people in governance.
“It’s my pleasure to make this passionate appeal to the good people of Yewa-North. There is no winning for any candidate without the total support of the people. The 2027 election will be a resounding success for my supporters and a great victory for our local government,” he said.
Akinlawon praised the APC for its inclusiveness, allowing both youth and elders to contest, and reaffirmed his commitment to leadership by example.
“I am in this race to champion a new direction and lead by example. All the support you give can only be made meaningful by turning out to vote on election day; and your PVC is the tool to make that happen,” - Akinlawon added.
