The University of Florida’s Department of Wildlife Ecology and Conservation is seeking a Master’s student to join the Global Ecology Research Group.
The group is looking for a highly motivated and independent graduate student to begin in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027, working on a quantitative ecology project focused on sea turtles.
This project will leverage existing datasets, including telemetry and long-term monitoring data, to better understand sea turtle movement, space use, and population dynamics.
The student will work closely with agency partners to synthesize multiple data streams and apply quantitative approaches to address applied conservation and management questions.
The position is primarily desktop-based, with a strong emphasis on data integration, statistical modeling, and spatial analysis.
