The University of Strathclyde, in September 2021, received a monumental £50 million donation from distinguished alumnus Charles Huang, Ph.D., through his philanthropic foundation.
The Charles Huang Foundation (CHF). Dr. Huang, has steered this generous contribution towards fostering educational opportunities through the Stephen Young Global Leaders’ Scholarship Programme (SYGL).

To be considered for the 2026 Stephen Young Global Leaders Scholarship, you must:
- meet the admissions criteria for the Strathclyde full-time MBA programme
- hold a current offer on this programme for your chosen year of study
- accept this offer before making a separate application to the scholarship
- be able to demonstrate exceptional academic merit in your application
- be a self-funded student who does not have access to other sources of funding such as corporate sponsorship or alternative scholarship funding
