Zoe Group Of Schools Marks 15 Years As Ex-Lautech VC Wants Zoe University Established
It is pomp and lyre as the Zoe Group of Schools in Ogbomoso recently celebrated its 15years anniversary of existence.
The institutions which are located in four locations in Ogbomoso are ZOE College Abaa, ZOE College Irewolede Estate, ZOE Nursery and Primary School Isale General and ZOE Nursery and Primary School, Orogun.
The event which came up at the school premises was attended by well meaning Nigerians in particular. The Ogbomoso-born legend, former Governor of Oyo State, Adebayo Alao-Akala was present at the occasion along with other prominent personalities.
Soun of Ogbomosoland, Oba Oladunni Oyewumi Ajagungbade III, was represented by Onijeru of Ijeruland, High Chief Elijah Popoola; Onpetu of Ijeruland, Oba Sunday Oladapo Oyediran was represented by his wife, Olori Esther Subuola Oyediran; Aale of Okelerin, Oba Samuel Babatunde Amao; and Onijabata of Jabata, Oba Mustapha Mafolasere Ajala Fadipe III.
Some notable personalities were also not left out in persons of Professor Benjamin Babatunde Adeleke, a former Vice Chancellor of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso; Rev’d. Dr. Ademola Ishola, a former General Secretary of the Nigerian Baptist Convention; Apostle Afolabi among others.
Chief Alao-Akala in his remark commended the proprietor, Evangelist Niyi Adebayo for what he described as his great foresight and passion in establishing the school.
Akala while presenting awards charged the students and pupils to face their studies and always be great ambassadors of the school wherever they find themselves.
Professor Adeleke, a former LAUTECH Vice Chancellor also made a case for the establishment of ZOE University in the city, saying the idea was not out of place, but to complement the great job the institution had started.
The Onijabata of Jabata, Oba Ajala said the establishment of ZOE University was a great idea and expressed willingness to host the university in his town.
Ajala consequently promised to allocate plots of lands for the establishment of the institution if considered while thanking the management for keeping the fire burning.
The proprietor, Evang Niyi Adebayo affirmed that the school was poised for greater things just as he reeled out the amazing accomplishments of the students of the school.
“Moulding lives and making sure people are gainfully employed is what drives ZOE Group of Schools”, he addded.
While speaking further, he said, ” The school has excelled in many areas, our students had emerged winners in various competitions including ones organized by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Nanotechnology Research Group of Nigeria and Winners Chapel debate and others”.
Apostle Afolabi (Okoto Jesu) in the same vein lauded the school management while praying that God would ensure the establishment of ZOE University.
