“We’re Set To Run A Government That Ogun Has Never Had” – Abiodun
* Debunked rumour of probing outgoing Governor, Amosun.
The newly elected Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun has claimed not to listen to the allegations of probing the incumbent outgoing governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, but promises to run a government that has never happened in the State’s records.
Abiodun made the clarifications at his home town in Iperu on Monday, shaded that his government will set Ogun State into landmark records that have never been witnessed in the State.
He said, “Our government will be very willing to take the benefits of shared knowledge and experiences, we shall have a focus and qualitative governance that is responsive, open and accountable to the people; a government which the people can rightly and justifiably call, – our government”.
He stated further, “Like our campaign theme states, the development of Ogun State is the collective duty of all, with the love of Ogun in our hearts, we all have something to offer”. Abiodun in a heart of responsive jubilation said, “this victory is not for me and my party alone; it is the victory for the good and great people of Ogun State”.
In his statements he articulated, for rapid industrialization and infrastructural development, “we will proactively create and promote the enabling environment for a public-private sector partnership, which is fundamental to the creation of an enduring economic development and individual prosperity of the people of Ogun”.
Adding that, it is important to note that, one has something to give in terms of service, we are to focus on issues, by endearing ourselves to the hearts of electorates, the electorates have spoken and they spoke well.
In reaction to the allegations of probing the outgoing Governor Ibikunle Amosun, Abiodun reacted with a sense of maturity, he said “Anger doesn’t have a place in this matter, but we need to begin to work on by setting up a transition committee by giving the people of Ogun State a focus on the qualitative governance, putting in place an enabling environment for business to thrive, which is fundamental to economic development of Ogun State”.
According to Dapo Abiodun, “If you remain humble, resilient, having fortitude, and keep the hope alive, you can overcome any mountain, this is an opportunity for God to show that He is bigger than me, I therefore, most humbly, and unconditionally, extend my hand of fellowship to my compatriots from other parties, and indeed, all those who contested with me at the APC primaries for the party ticket”.
