Rev. Mrs. Adenike Morenike Victor-Tade a clergy turned politician contesting for Oyo State Gubernatorial election on the platform of Advanced Allied Party, has revealed why many people do call her Mama empowerment.

Adenike said this while interacting with newsmen during her campaign tour in Ogbomoso area of Oyo State on Monday.

She pointed out that she has been a practicing entrepreneur for 24years also into farming-crops and livestock, skill development consultancy, an initiator and pioneer coordinator of Nigerian Baptist Skill Acquisition and Empowerment Centre.

“I am till date the consultant for All Africa Baptist Youths on Empowerment, I have a programme in place since 20 years ago where I engage youths and women in skill acquisition scheme for one year and pay each trainee N10,000 monthly and after one year, buying equipments for them as the case may be and they start their businesses”, she said.

The New Nigerian newspaper of April 22, 2007 page 6 was one of the publications that confirmed her activities.

She added further that being the coordinator of Ultimate Total life Concepts Initiative, also an accountant by profession and a graduate of enterprise management from the Business School in Pan African University Lagos, she is an ordained Baptist pastor who also has her personal ministry specifically for the youth.

Adenike informed she had carried out a study of the length and breath of Oyo State in order to know how to tackle the problems facing the masses, assuring that if she is elected, she would ensure the people of Oyo State enjoy the dividends of democracy.

She went ahead to itemize her manifestos as follows: job creation, quality and affordable, health services, quality and affordable education programs, social infrastructural development, low cost housing scheme, good and monitored welfare package for civil servants, programs and policies for special citizens -the physically challenged, the thugs, the underaged street hawkers and the street beggars, the aged and retiree programmes.
