Ogun set to commence construction of rural roads – Femi Olayinka Abeokuta.

Ogun State Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs.) Yetunde Onanuga, has assured rural dwellers across the three senatorial districts of the State, of government’s readiness to commence the construction of rural roads to improve socio-economic activities in the rural areas.

Onanuga who also oversees the Ministry of Rural Development, gave the assurance while fielding questions from journalists in Abeokuta, said rural dwellers with the road construction would begin to enjoy more social amenities including, pipe borne water, rural electrification and qualitative health care services, among others.

The Deputy Governor explained that one of the major goals of Senator Ibikunle Amosun- led administration  was to better the lots of rural dwellers by making life more abundant for the people through improved service delivery.

Mrs. Onanuga noted that the State government’s collaboration with the German international development organization (GIZ) on rural electrification had begun to yield positive results as one of the projects at Gbamugbamu would soon be commissioned.

‘’Let me again re-assure you that the commencement of new projects will not in any way affect the completion of on-going projects spread across the three senatorial districts’’, she promised.

The Deputy Governor further pledged that the current administration would continue to strive to reposition the State’s economy which she said required the support of all.
