Ogun pledges support for professional bodies

The Ogun State government has assured professional bodies in the State of its continual supports towards fulfilling their visions for the overall development of the state.

The State Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs.) Yetunde Onanuga who gave the assurance at her office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, while receiving the State Executives of the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered), Ogun State Branch, led by the State Chairman, Alhaji Ebun Atinuke, appreciated the institute for its vision, saying she was proud to be one of them.

Chief Onanuga said the Senator Ibikunle Amosun’s led administration was committed to socio-economic development of the State and would support any professional body that would be of help in this regards.

While urging the institute to make objectivity and fairness its watchword, the deputy governor appealed to members not to relent at working for the overall development of the society.

Speaking earlier, the Chairman of the institute, Alhaji Ebun Atinuke, while appreciating the deputy governor for her contributions to the state, said the visit was to keep her abreast of activities in the state branch and chapters of the association as well as familiarise the newly elected state and chapter executives of the institute with the government.

Amongst the Fellow of the Institute present at the occasion were, the Permanent Secretary and Clerk of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Engr. Lanre Bisiriyu, the former Permanent Secretary in the State, Mrs Olayinka Kukoyi and the Director of the Service Matters, Mr. Jola Oyeneye who is the current Chairman of Abeokuta Chapter.
