Ogun: APC Digital Group Visits Agric Commissioner

Members of All Progressives Congress Digital Group, an ICT- driven organisation has visited and presented a photo frame and plaque to Ogun State Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Adeola Odedina in his office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

Presenting the items, the Convener of the group, Mr. Dennis Ogunnaike said his organisation is passionate about all aspects of technology and how young people will take advantage of ICT in wealth creation, especially in Agriculture, where online ecosystem could be created and people of like mind business could network for mutual business transactions.

Ogunnaike said, “We look generally into all aspects of technology and we are passionate about young people, we share the present administration’s vision of ”building our future together” and we are playing our role in contributing our own quota to the actualisation of the dream of His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun, though, we have seen government’s employment drive, and that is why we have come to identify with you”.

Dr. Odedina in his response appreciated the delegates for the gift and passion in creating wealth via technology, noted that many youths are doing well in ICT and technology as well as Agricultural Industrialization.

“We want to have laudable achievement that could be pointed to as reference point in the next few months in the area of job creation and achievements.

“One of the goals is to promote youth involvement in agriculture and that is becoming highly competitive globally, Agric is our culture and it is like a calling that requires dedication and commitment, that is why we are creating platform for people to learn new skills”, Odedina stated.
