My son taken away without my consent, Doris Simeon alleges

Actress Doris Simeon has opened up on her tumultuous custody battle with ex-husband Daniel Ademinokan in an interview with Biola Bayo on “Talk to B.”

Doris revealed that Daniel took their son to the US when he was just four without her consent and the last time she played a motherly role was when he was 3.

Doris said she struggled to contact her son, with Daniel claiming he was busy or unreachable for months.

She said despite feeling frustrated and depressed, she hid her emotions as her parents taught her to be strong in the face of challenges.

Doris said: “I might have had my fault, he also had his fault. That’s why I said I didn’t feel anything when they got married, but the only thing is that he didn’t allow me to mother my child. That’s the only painful part.

“He took my son without my consent, he was just 4 years old when he came to the US. He was 3 when I mothered my child last. I was calling, but he wouldn’t pick up, and when he picked up, he would tell me he would call me back as he was busy, and for another 3 to 4 months, I wouldn’t get through.

“I was frustrated and depressed, but I can never show that because I knew the family I came from as my parents told us to be strong, no matter what you’re going through in life. I just went for a movie premiere and someone told me I am not here to see my son. That was how they took us to court”.

  • When I originally commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added” checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get four e-mails with the same comment. Is there any way you can remove people from that service? Many thanks!
