DR JACOB OGUNMOLA AS ADEBAYO ADELABU DEPUTY

The seeming political narratives of second term in office of any Governor in Oyo State, who seeked re-election to remain in Agodi government house as wishful political thought that, never saw light of the day was brokered by his Excellency, Senator Abiola Ajimobi which earned him acronym of “koseleri” .

I will limit my political case to Jacob Ogunmola popularly known as Jaco, as APC deputy Governorship candidate in the coming election in 2019.

Dr. Jacob Ogunmola is an indegene of Ago Are via Saki in Atisbo local government, his mother is from sepeteri in Saki East local government, while his mertanal grandmother is from Okaka in Itesiwaju local government.

This suggest, he is an Okeogun indegene encompassing.

He is NCE holder in Accounting from one of the foremost heritage College of Education in Nigeria SACOED (St Andrew college of education), Oyo. He holds Barchelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Ogun State University, Ago Iwoye now Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye. Also possess MBA in marketing from LASU (Lagos State University), Ojo, Lagos. He is academically armed with doctorate degree in Public Administration from University of Business Technology in the United States of America.

A certified Accountant of note with personal flourish Investment in agriculture, 4 stars hotel’s in Lagos and he is a philanthropist as founder of OGUNMOLA FOUNDATION, a yearly philantrapic programme’s in Atisbo local government with retinue of influential colleagues from America, UK, Germany, Lagos, Abuja all converge in a Atisbo local government for distribution of empowerment to indegents and community’s project, with scholarship to students as support to their educational advancement, all worth over 100 million naira every cycle year.

This gave birth to political opinion of Dr Jacob Ogunmola as APC deputy Governorship candidate to run with a former Deputy Governor of CBN, Adebayo Adelabu.

Iseyin dictates political pendulum in their federal constituency that, comprises of KAJOLA, ITESIWAJU and IWAJOWA local governments whose voting population is very low compare to ISEYIN with the exception of KAJOLA who boast of above combine votes of Iwajowa and Itesiwaju local governments.

Ogunmola as deputy governorship candidate of APC from Atisbo local government would guranntee large volume of votes from SAKI WEST, OORELOPE, SAKI EAST, IREPO, OLORUNSOGO local governments, as the election would be seen as OKEOGUN 2 choice as deputy vs OKEOGUN 1 choice as deputy since politics is all about interest.

It would be a political upright permutations to secure votes from Ogunmola axis since, APC have lost iseyin to ADC and iwajowa and itesiwaju has very low voting population to counter balance votes deficit from iseyin at the poll.

Another political advantage an Ogunmola choice would bring to political table is his financial muscle that will compliment spending culture of APC gubernatorial candidate needed to pursue the election and Ogunmola cut across political divide as he has contact’s with relevant stakeholders whose are even of the opposition to neutralise their base for APC victory.

On the economic development front of Oyo State.

He is going to be a team player not a treachery player to his boss and political establishment of APC given to his humane, humble and humanitarian background.

Oyo State citizens deserves, consolidation on good governance path template pathfined, under Governor Isiaq Abiola Ajimobi as government is continum all over the world, which only conscious choice of deputy at the poll could guarantee APC OYO STATE.

Oyo state constituents are more enthusiastic about their political development than before. Reasons Oyo State APC must look beyond premodial sentiment in her choice of Deputy governorship candidate.
