COVID-19: Kenny Bello Donates Food Items To Ijebu-East Indigenes
Ijebu-Imusin born politician and one time House of Representatives candidate under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Hon. Kehinde Ayodeji Bello has volunteered to distribute food supplies among the people of Ijebu East Local Government on Thursday following the lockdown ordered by the Federal and Ogun State governments.
President Muhammadu Buhari had, on Sunday, in a nationwide broadcast, announced the cessation of movements in Abuja, Lagos and Ogun States, for 14 days, effective from 11pm on Monday, as part of measures to curb the spread of coronavirus.
Though, the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun announced the postponement of the ‘stay at home’ directive given by the President to this Friday.
To cushion the effect of the expected fallout of the order, Bello, in his conviction believes the people needed to be supported at this crucial period hence, his widow’s mite.
According to him, the spirit of cheerful giving and societal support was inculcated in him by his father, Chief Mufutau Ayodele Bello, a distinguished politician in his days who deeply inspired and influenced his wards and many others who looked up to him as role model.
