CAN PRESIDENT, AYOKUNLE BACKS SON FOR MARRIAGE AS OYO GOV MAKINDE GRACES OCCASION

It was a glamorous marriage ceremony as the Christian Association of Nigeria President, Rev. Supo Ayokunle drew well meaning Nigerians across the board to the city of Ibadan in Oyo State to celebrate with his family as his son, Paul Ayokunle exchanged ring with lover. The event recorded series of activities among other dignitaries across the board led by the State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, among other union and magenta that graced the occasion.

Speaking briefly with our correspondent over the decision of the Federal Government of what it termed the RUGA settlement scheme, to curb open grazing of animals nationwide which entails the settlement of animals by farmers in an organised place with the provision of necessary amenities. The CAN boss, Rev. Ayokunle opposed federal government’s decision on RUGA, saying the Association was completely neglected in the implementation of the programme anywhere in Nigeria.

He said, “the Christian Association body called on the Federal Government to immediately suspend and abrogate the RUGA settlement programme, saying anything that fuels mutual distrust should be avoided in the interest of national unity”.

He added that the perception by many Christians that CAN had not been showing enough interest in national issues is wrong. He said, “Let me state it here that our position, although it may differ from that of government, is not in opposition but a way of helping those in government by calling their attention to the dangers that may come from the proposed action if adequate caution is not considered.

“We, the Christian body also kick against the Control of Waterways Bill now before the National Assembly. The Control of Waterways by the Federal Government Bill before the National Assembly should be rejected. Waterways in each locality should be controlled by local authorities; God created the waterways there, at most they should be controlled by state governments.” he stated. He noted that the Federal Government should intensify efforts on the establishment of modern ranching facilities, abattoirs and meat processing firms.

The Issues Magazine reports what stands inspiring about this new couple as the epitome of love they both share in an event which recorded a very tight security, one remarkable yet surprising thing to note was the “personalities sieve” of the beloved Reverend Supo Ayokunle of the CAN in Nigeria. The highly organised party and arrangement of things would naturally make head swell as not only the couple and guests wore gaily and gorgeous dresses, but also the flamboyantly dressed ushers and usherettes were conspicuous at every angle which signifies wedding with royalty.

People who were really welcomed to the occasion were assessed based on their dress code which means that a shabby and uncultured dressing was frowned at. The event was purposeful that the groom affirming that “two are better than one, because when two hearts become one, they become a force that is unstoppable”. In further description, the groom described his wife as a great companion whom he will take proper care of as God wishes, just as he defined his wedding day as an incredible and the most memorable day ever in his life, and finally extended his word of advice to his inseparable companion that should see him as a God-sent husband to their new home.

Speaking more with our Correspondent in Oyo State, the bride introduced her husband Paul Ayokunke as a father, man of God and a best friend for ever, she stressed that Paul Ayokunke is a honest, diligent and a reliable man to be with for the rest of her life. She however extended her word of advice to the youths to have strong belief in all ways, expressing her warmest appreciation to everyone present at the occasion, saying a loving note can barely express how you have all added to the happiness of their home. “I would like to share my sincere appreciation for your time, prayers, gifts and presence on this special day of us, I pray God shall be with all of us” she concluded.
