Accord Party Guber Aspirant Promises Real Change
A governorship aspirant under the platform of Accord Party in Ogun State, Mr. Tope Tokoya has promised to provide the much needed turn around if elected as Ogun State governor.
Mr. Tokoya said he is ready to offer himself for the emancipation of the people and provide good dividends of democracy.
He said he was not interested in going after any past government of the state to probe them for any embezzlement of state fund, inspite of any financial reckless.
Tokoya who stated this while declaring his governorship ambition to journalists in Abeokuta said he would confirm and audit the account of the state, but he does not believe in going from court to court to probe any past Governor, noting that he would be too busy with the welfare of the people than wasting time going to court.
” I offer myself for service, I offer myself for the total emancipation of Ogun State. I offer myself to provide real change in Ogun State. I offer myself to give the dividends of democracy to Ogun State people, not ‘Ise Sa’ as the state slogan implies ‘Ise Ya”.
He said “With God all things are possible, winning the Ogun State 2019 governorship election is our goal. It is possible. It is achievable.
“I promise on my honour and God being my witness that every citizen of this state will be proud to identify with Ogun State. I promise you a leadership of success and joy.
Enumerating his programmes, Tokoya said his government will ensure the return of local government council to its constitutional level of operation, saying that he would establish ward development council for the development of every ward in the state for even development.
He promised that his government will provide accessible qualitative education at both primary and secondary school levels with free tuition up to secondary school level.
He added that there will be free textbooks for all public primary schools in the state, availability of bursary award to higher institution students as well as competitive scholarship awards for both secondary and tertiary institutions students.
On health, Tokoya said there would be affordable and quality health care services at all government hospitals, with establishment of mobile clinic to enhance the provision of health care services to all rural dwellers.
