Abiodun Has Rescued Education Out of Coma In Ogun – Educationist

An educationist and politician, Hon Wale Bello has lauded the Ogun State governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun over his intervention in the educational sector across the state.

He ascertained that the suspension of 3,700 levy in the elementary schools has made the administration to rescue educational sector out of coma in the state.

Bello, the former councilor who doubles as proprietor of Comprehensive Academy in Abeokuta disclosed this in an interview with newsmen on Monday.

He stated that educational sector has already gone to a state of coma in the state but the administration of Governor Abiodun has lightened up the sector.

He said, “I could remember those days when Ogun indigenes had the best students in WASCE across the country, we used to lead while other followed”.

“When Governor Abiodun came on board, he declared a state of emergency on the educational sector, today we’re all benefitting from his style of governance”.

“If you go to Bashorun Moshood Abiola Primary School, the environment is under renovation which is nearer to me, the information revealed that it is not only in my area, but across the state”, Bello stated.

Adding that the Governor is taking steps to revamp educational sector in the state.

“The running cost meant for teachers for almost eight years has been stopped, Abiodun’s administration has revived while the principals and teachers can make use of it.”

Bello also stressed that the state of education in Ogun State prior to now was not unconnected to mal-administration and lack of love for formal education in the state.

He expressed optimism that the current administration would perform even beyond what the Governor pledged during his manifestos.

He appeal to Governor Abiodun not to forget the people at the grassroots as promised in the electioneering period.

“The Governor has demonstrated a messiahic attribute of rejuvenating the sector by giving hope to the teachers and the students in the state”, he concluded.
