Aiyedatiwa Campaign Office Burgled Under Suspicious Circumstances

The Ondo State headquarters of Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organisation Foot Soldiers Independent Council (LACO-FSIC) on Oba Adesida Road, Akure was in the wee hours of Wednesday burgled in a manner suggesting a politically motivated invasion.

The leadership of the organisation has condemned the attack in strong terms, stating that, “There was method in the burglary, as the invaders, apart from stealing some belongings, also destroyed electrical sockets, tore down Governor Aiyedatiwa’s billboards and posters, and smashed furniture items”.

A statement by the State Information Director of the LACO-FSIC, Mr. Kayode Fasua, said while it was evident that the midnight invaders could be natural thieves as they carted away two rechargeable fans, the mass destruction of memes and electrical gadgets clearly exposed them as political burglars, apparently from the opposition camp.

“With what took place overnight, it is now clear that at least one of the opposition parties in the state is violence-prone and criminally minded, despite the olive branch extended to all by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, who is busy working day and night to improve the standard of living of the masses.

“The methodical burglars and their paymasters were apparently dazed at the mammoth crowd that graced the two meetings held in quick succession at the newly acquired LACO-FSIC campaign headquarters in Akure, thus yielding themselves to the devil, to be used to destroy multi-million Naira properties and steal valuable items,” Fasua condemned.

He recalled that at the inaugural meeting of LACO-FSIC leaders held in Akure, Convener of the Campaign Organisation, Dr. Oladipupo Okeyomi, aka Carry Go, and its Director-General, Mr. Saka Yusuf-Ogunleye, had led other State and Local Government Directors to unfold plans for mass, community-based campaigns to ensure total victory for Governor Aiyedatiwa, come November 16.

“The opposition possibly sponsored moles to come spy on our meetings, and realising the futility of stopping what has now become a moving train, they, in the hysteria of beholding a looming failure for their party, resorted to the indignity of political burglary, as was carried out overnight,” the LACO-FSIC spokesman criticised.
