FCMB, A Committed Institution To Annual Ojude-Oba Festival – Wahab Osinusi

The chairman of Ojude-Oba planning committee, Otunba Wahab Osinusi has described the First City Monument Bank, an Ijebu owned financial institution, a sponsor of annual Ojude-Oba Festival as a committed institution which promotes the cultural heritage of the Ijebu nation.

Osinusi made this known at the annual Ojude-Oba Press conference held at Awujale Pavilion Centre in Ijebu-Ode on Monday.

“FCMB has been a key supporter of Ojude-Oba Festival for more than a decade, the institution believes that the festival is a major unifying factor for the great people of Ijebuland”, he said.

Asserting that the annual Ojude Oba Festival is a rallying point for all Ijebus to pay homage to the Awujale and collectively share thoughts on how to take Ijebuland to the next level of social and infrastructural development.

He said, Ojude-Oba festival is a classic example and manifestation of religious tolerance in Ijebuland, a very spectacular celebration of the Ijebus of South West Nigeria.

In this year’s celebration being tagged: Ojude Oba-The Uniqueness Of The Ijebu Nation, the celebration will witness the presence of incumbent Governor of Ogun State; Prince Dapo Abiodun, the Special Guest of Honour; Sir Adebutu Kesington and other Yoruba monarchs such as Oba Adebisi, the Alaafin of Oyo among other dignitaries to grace the occasion.

“We seize this opportunity to express our profound gratitude to other sponsors and companies, individuals that have placed adverts and goodwill message in the commemorative brochure of the event”, Osinusi concluded.
