Unpaid Salaries: TASCE Staff Beg Abiodun

It is no more news that the state government of Ogun State is owing Tai Solarin College of Education, Omu-Ijebu salaries which have accumulated in bounds, perhaps what propelled Governor Dapo Abiodun to set up committee to oversee the affairs of the institution.

But, it has never come to joysticks for the coalition team of Tai Solarin College of Education, Omu-Ijebu as of the time of filling this report.

Speaking with the chairman of the coalition, Comrade Daniel Aborisade, he stressed that 56 months overdue salaries should be considered by the present government.

Saying, the payment is not expected in bulk, but the government should consider with mercy, adding that instalmental programme could be implemented to fastrack the payment.

“We want an interim reports possibly from the committee set up by the Governor Abiodun concerning our matter, it’s unfortunate that since the new administration resumes office, only half of April salary was received”

Asserting that the past administration of Senator Amosun owes the institution 54 months unpaid salaries, 8years pension, but having strong belief in the committee headed by Professor Balogun, will carefully look into the matter.

“The government has contacted and pleaded that we should resume work, the major problem at the corner is that we can’t avoid to pay house-rent, school fees of our children among other related expenses”, he lamented.

Adding that it is time to conduct examinations, with students, no salary is yet received for May and June, and the month of July is already rolling up its carpet.

TASCE staff plead the government to fast-track action by providing lasting solution.
