Ifo/Ewekoro Political Leaders, Party Exco Endorse Rt. Hon. Oseni-Gomez

Political party leaders in Ifo and Ewekoro Local Government Areas have endorsed the political ambition of former Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mrs. Titi Oseni-Gomez, CON, as her campaign team continues its familiarisation tour sensitising political leaders and party elders ahead the oncoming primary election.

Rt. Hon. Oseni is seeking senatorial ticket in Ogun Central Senatorial District under the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Meeting with notable stakeholders including party chieftains, leaders, elders, executives and the entire party membership in the area, Rt. Hon. Oseni-Gomez thanked the leaders who she parleyed with at Are Hall in Ifo for the rousing welcome and very warm reception accorded her. She also expressed her appreciation to those who have been encouraging her to move on in her political career and offer herself for service in higher capacity.

She then assured the people of the area and the entire Ogun Central Senatorial District of quality representation and even distribution of dividends of democracy among her constituents if given the mandate.

According to her, “the era of deceit and outright neglect in terms of provision of infrastructure and general well-being of the people is over”.

The ADC, she stated, promises a new dawn where everybody will be part of the government. “It is a shift from the old order of autocracy, greed and inconsistencies that we have lived with in the past seven years”, she said.

The leaders of the party at the party secretariat led by the chairman, Mr. Ajani Obalola took turns to speak welcoming the former Speaker as they revisited her exemplary performance while in office. They lamented that government presence has eluded the area since the government which she served left in 2011.

According to them, Rt. Hon Oseni-Gomez, is an household name and a true daughter of Ifo and Ewekoro constituency in whom they are well pleased. They then promised to, not only make sure she gets the party ticket but also, work assiduously for a resounding victory for her in the general election. “We have learnt our lessons and have endured the suffering for long. We believe the ADC is the only party now who can save the Gateway State by providing good governance and equitable spread of the State’s resources”.

“We are sure you can do it as you have been tested and trusted especially with the brand new party, ADC which is made up of people of high integrity and experience”, they added.
